Alternaria

Chaetomium

This mold type grows on the drywall damaged by the water. It has musty odor.

Cladosporium

This type of mold is found indoors. Its specialty is that it grows in cooler areas instead of the warm places. It also causes the respiratory infections.

Fusarium

This mold also needs low temperatures for growth. It usually grows on water damaged carpets.

Penicillium

This type of mold quickly spreads from one home to another. It can cause chronic sinus infection and lungs inflammation. It is green or blue in color.

Stachybotrys chartarum

This is also known as black mold. This is toxic in nature and can cause serious health problems. Toxicity is due to the release of toxic mycotoxins. Its odor is musty and it grows in moist and damp places.

Serpula lacrymans

It is yellow in color and its feed is wood.

Trichoderma

It also releases the toxic mycotoxins that are serious threat for the human health and can cause allergenic reactions.

Ulocladium

This type of mold grows where there is excessive water. So the homes hit by the water damage and floods are best for their growth.

Efflorescence

These are actually salt deposits not molds. People confuse it with the white mold.
